Help us

Food Day Canada was established in 2003 by culinary pioneer Anita Stewart.
Every year, on the Saturday of the August long weekend, we celebrate Food Day Canada. It began as a response to the sanction of Canadian beef by the United States due to a case of mad cow disease in Alberta. This day is observed annually on the Saturday in August closest to Civic Holiday. Food Day Canada invites all Canadians to show their passion for fresh, Canadian food.
