Mario Dary Rivera (El Salvador, February 21, 1928 - Guatemala, December 15, 1981) was a Guatemalan national scientist (pharmaceutical chemist) and conservationist and founder of the School of Biology in Guatemala. In honor of Mario Dary, the "Day of the Biologist" is celebrated in Guatemala every February 21.
