Border Schools Day in Argentina

On March 14, 1972, Law No. 15.924 and Decree No. 1531 were enacted, referring to Education in Border Zones and Areas; hence it is set as a commemorative date (Día de las Escuelas de Frontera).

The celebration of Border Schools Day has the purpose of highlighting the great work done by teachers, many times in complex areas and where they have to make resignations and sacrifices in order to fulfill the teaching mission. It is also part of the purpose of the date, to generate solidarity and closeness through the sponsorship of distant and humble little schools located in the geographical limits of the country.

These are schools where national values are cultivated and cultural assets are highlighted. The students of these regions know more deeply the local contributions, the national greatness and the cultural richness of the past and present that were incorporated to the national being.
