The Celebration of the Reconquest of Vigo is a historical festival held in the old part of the city of Vigo (Galicia), between late March and early April. The official date is March 28 (a local holiday in Vigo), but it coincides with the weekend according to the annual calendar. The festival depicts the capture of the city by the French in the early nineteenth century and the reconquest by the inhabitants of Vigo.
In addition to the representations, there are other activities in the various streets of the old part of the city, popular music, food and craft stalls as a fair. Today it is the most emblematic celebration of the city, being declared a festival of national tourist interest in 2019.
