The Pinto Fair is a market in the city of Temuco, Chile, located in the central separator of Aníbal Pinto Avenue, between Lautaro and Francisco Bilbao streets. Some internet sites locate it in the Feria Pinto sector, which is recurrently mentioned in the press. But the Territorial Systemic Diagnosis, a document prepared by the Municipality of Temuco, which lists and describes the sectors of the city, does not include the Feria Pinto sector, so the market, according to this document, is divided in two. Its facilities located south of Balmaceda Avenue are located in the Estación neighborhood of the Centro sector. The rest, those located between Balmaceda and Francisco Bilbao, belong to the Pueblo Nuevo sector. It has almost 9250 square meters.
Given its importance and tradition within the regional dynamics, on Thursday, April 23, 2014, the Municipality of Temuco decided to celebrate for the first time the "Pinto Fair Trader's Day" (Día del Comerciante de la Feria Pinto), a new event in the regional calendar that will be celebrated every April 23.
