ANIAE Association (ASOCIACIÓN NACIONAL DE INGENIEROS AGRÓNOMOS ENÓLOGOS). Since its foundation, its purpose has been to serve the interests of its members that are related to the development and prestige of the science and practice of viticulture and enology in Chile, as well as to promote and maintain communication and interaction among the country's Agronomist Enologists and to establish working relationships with their peers at the international level.
The proposal of the Board of Directors, based on the research entrusted to Mr. Alvaro Tello, focused on the figure of the founder of the National Association of Agronomist Enologists, Mr. Ruy Barbosa. It was decided to look for a date around his biography since in other milestones of Chilean wine history there is controversy in the dates of the "zero moment".

They remember Mr. Ruy Barbosa Popolizio who laid the foundations for the institutionalization of Chilean winemaking by founding the National Association of Agronomists and Oenologists. August 10 was the day of his graduation as an agronomist engineer, that is, the beginning of a long professional path where he would dedicate special attention to viticulture.
