Help us

Community water management has allowed Costa Rica to be a successful country in providing 92% of the population with potable water inside the home, one of the highest in Latin America.
The community Water and Sewerage Administration Associations (ASADAS) guarantee drinking water service, voluntarily and with great commitment, to 1,300,000 people in 1,500 rural and peri-urban communities, more than 25% of the population. This is an authentic way of exercising democracy and citizen participation in management; in this way they contribute to the 2030 agenda and with the Sustainable Development Goals. The human right to water is fundamental and these associations make it partly possible.
