September 13 of each year is established as the Shoe Industry Day (Día del Trabajador del Calzado), and the second Monday of the month of September is granted to the personnel - with paid wages - even if such day does not coincide with the one indicated (in accordance with Art. 21 of CCT 652/12).
By agreement between the workers and the employer, it may be transferred to another day of the same month. Home-based workers, excluding workshop workers and intermediaries, shall be entitled to be paid for Shoe Workers' Day, which shall be paid in accordance with the settlement guidelines for national holidays.
