Psychologist Day in Colombia

In Colombia we celebrate the Day of the Psychologist every November 20 because on a day like that, but in 1947, the Board of Directors of the National University of Colombia created the Institute of Applied Psychology (as a section of the already existing Section of Psychotechnology). This decision was the beginning of the psychology profession in the country. Thus, since 1987, this date has been used to celebrate the formation of psychologists in Colombia. 75 years after this milestone, in country we already have around 120 psychology programs.
