Pilgrim's Day in Mexico is commemorated annually on December 12 and is related to the annual pilgrimage to the Basilica of Guadalupe.
Millions of pilgrims will celebrate on December 12 at the Basilica of Guadalupe, due to the celebration of "The Patron Saint of Mexico", an extremely important symbol for Mexicans; however, most pilgrims come on December 11 and wait until midnight to sing "Las Mañanitas" to the Guadalupana.
It is important to highlight that in Mexico and the world there are millions of parishioners and pilgrims who make long trips for the devotion of their saints and virgins in whom they deeply believe, have a deep respect and gratitude, in the Mexican territory the biggest celebration with which pilgrims are related is the Day of the Virgin of Guadalupe, since millions of parishioners for hundreds of years have venerated her and she has moved more than one mountain, reason why this December 12 was chosen to also honor the pilgrims.
