The Elbhangfest is an annual arts and culture festival in Dresden that takes place on the banks of the Elbe between the districts of Loschwitz and Pillnitz. It was first organized in 1991 and is one of the largest city festivals in Dresden.
Events: Concerts in three churches; Loschwitz promenade & wine village; street exhibitions; broom taverns; arts and crafts; open gardens; parties; programs in Naturfarbenwerkstatt, Laubegaster Gärten and Weber-Museum; Pillnitz wine village at the castle; closing concert in the Weinbergkirche.
Hospitable private houses and properties open their doors for small concerts, readings in the garden and conversations over coffee and cake. This gives the festival its charming character.
