The “freDOlino” Easter funfair in Dortmund is an annual funfair on Fredenbaumplatz and is considered the largest of its kind in North Rhine-Westphalia. The colorful spectacle runs throughout the Easter vacations and attracts numerous visitors.
The funfair is usually open from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., with extended opening hours on special days. Admission is just 1 euro, which is used to finance the spectacular fireworks and other highlights.
The program is varied: on Family Day, visitors can look forward to a 50% discount on all carousels. Particularly popular are the fireworks displays, which light up the evenings on selected evenings. The numerous rides include an impressive Ferris wheel, a small but fast-paced rollercoaster and classic bumper cars. A special attraction is “Pirates Adventures”, a detailed simulation ride that captivates adventure-seekers.
Over the years, “freDOlino” has become an integral part of Dortmund's Easter traditions and has become an integral part of the city's cultural life.
