Every year in May, Mönchengladbach is transformed into a festive attraction with the Rheydter Frühkirmes - a traditional folk festival that is one of the largest inner-city fairs in the region. The event attracts visitors from Mönchengladbach and the surrounding area in droves.
The spectacle begins on Friday evening with an impressive firework display that lights up the sky over Rheydt. The funfair stretches along the canal and on the market square and lasts until Monday.
The Rheydt Early Fair offers a colorful program for young and old: from fast-paced free-fall towers and exciting bumper cars to nostalgic children's carousels - there is something for everyone here. More than 100 stands and stalls provide guests with tasty snacks, refreshing drinks and exciting games.
Monday is particularly family-friendly, when reduced prices are offered for families. This makes the last day of the funfair an ideal day out for young and old.
With its multitude of rides and attractions, the Rheydt Early Fair offers an unforgettable experience for the whole family.
