In pre-war Poland, Mother's Day was celebrated (it seems that there was no set annual date, e.g. Sunday May 13, 1934, Sunday May 7, 1939), and their organization was the responsibility of the Polish Red Cross.
Mother's Day (Muttertag) was celebrated as an important holiday in the General Government during the German occupation (this day was a holiday in the entire Third Reich).
Currently in Poland, this holiday falls on May 26. On this day, mothers are usually given cards, flowers and various kinds of gifts by their own children, less often by other people. This holiday is to show mothers respect, love and thanks for the effort put in upbringing.
