National Scout Organization Day in Thailand is held on July 1. This event in the first decade of the month July is annual. Help us
King Vajiravudh founded the National Scout Organization of Thailand on this day in 1911.
The World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) is the largest international Scouting organization. WOSM has 173 members. These members are recognized national Scout organizations, which collectively have around 43 million participants.
Thailand is the only country in the world where the Scout movement was founded by the monarch. The king of Thailand is the honorary Chief Scout to highlight the fact that the Thai Scout Organization was founded by King Rama VI. On Scouts’ Day, Thai Scouts participate in parades and other events and activities that honor King Vajiravudh as the Father of Thai Scouting.
