On October 18 is celebrated in many Croatian cities the Tie Day, it takes place on this date on the occasion of the patronage of President Stjepan Mesic. This day has been celebrated since 2003, it took place in Pula when the installation of the largest tie in the world, according to the Guinness Book of Records, the so-called Kravata oko Arena, took place. It was a tie 808 meters long by 25 meters wide, red in color.
