Cooperant's Day in Spain
Cooperant's Day in Spain is held on September 8. This event in the first decade of the month September is annual. Help us
Every September 8, the actors of the Spanish Cooperation commemorate the Day of the Cooperant in honor of the professionals who work for sustainable development and the fight against poverty alongside the most vulnerable populations of the planet.
The date chosen for this celebration also honors the day - September 8, 2000 - when world leaders met at the United Nations Headquarters in New York to approve the Millennium Declaration. They committed their countries to a new global partnership, the first in history to reduce levels of extreme poverty, to achieve a series of goals to be met in 15 years, known as the Millennium Development Goals.
