The restaurant industry was projected to make $863 billion in sales in 2019. A good restaurant sets a high standard for its food quality and ensures that guests receive the same quality with every meal. Serving quality food can earn your restaurant a good reputation and compel your guests to return for repeat visits. Half of the consumer population agrees that the use of tablets by servers improves their experience.

In US 14.7 million people work in the restaurant industry (National Restaurant Association). Half of all adults have - at some point - worked in a restaurant. One-third of Americans' first job was in a restaurant. 10% of the nation's workforce is employed in a restaurant.

Today’s restaurants are not the restaurants of even ten years ago. Technology, advances and the industry itself have all changed dramatically. Self-ordering kiosks are on the rise with consumers, but only 32% of restaurants have them today.
