Founded in the US in 2004 by pet and family lifestyle expert Colleen Paige, International Dog Day has since spread all over the world, giving dog owners a special day to celebrate man's best friend. July 3 is the beginning of the peculiar dog days in the United States, which last until August 26, when National Dog Day is celebrated.
Although it is extremely difficult to calculate their exact number in the world, statisticians say that now this figure is more than 525 million dogs (something is not enough).
According to sociological data for 2014, more than 45% of the people of the entire planet, one way or another, kept dogs.
