Benedictine bishop and martyr. He was educated at Poitiers, France, and in 653 became abbot of St. Maxentius. When King Chlodwig II died, Leodegarry helped the regent, Queen Bathilde, and became bishop of Oten in 659. Erchinoald, mayor of the royal palace, imprisoned Leodegarius, blinded him, and killed him. Leodegarry is venerated in France as St. Leger.
