The scarf is an integral part of the Ukrainian cultural heritage.
An unofficial holiday appeared quite recently. It has been celebrated since 2019, but thanks to the diaspora, it immediately received the status of a global one.
The holiday is celebrated by communities of several countries, in particular Spain, Canada and the USA.
The popularization of the holiday was actively promoted by a flash mob dedicated to the Day of the Ukrainian Headscarf, which was joined by millions of Ukrainians in the country and around the world.
