United Nations General Assembly, approved on December 19, 2011, the designation of October 11 of each year as "International Day of the Girl", a date that was also designated in El Salvador, as "National Day of the Girl" , through Decree No. 491 of September 19, 2013, published in the Official Gazette No. 182, Volume No. 401, dated October 2, 2013.
On this day, UNICEF El Salvador, together with its allies, grants the voice to girls and adolescent women to listen and include their concerns, worries and possible solutions on issues that affect them.
