The Council of Ministers has approved at its meeting on 23/03/2018, at the proposal of the Minister of Employment and Social Security, Fátima Báñez, and the Minister of Health, Dolors Montserrat, an agreement establishing March 23 as the National Day for the Reconciliation of personal, family and work life and co-responsibility in the assumption of family responsibilities.
In addition to establishing March 23 as the National Day of Conciliation and Co-responsibility, the agreement also determines that the Government will promote, in the appropriate public and private spheres, the various activities that will give content to the celebration of this day.
The measure is aimed at making society as a whole aware of the importance of work-life balance and co-responsibility for the quality of life of all people. "It is necessary, according to the text, to involve the whole of society, families, workers, public administrations, companies and social agents in this task" to continue advancing in the protection and promotion of this right to the reconciliation of personal, family and working life.
