Agriculture is a fundamental and strategic sector of the national economy, the basis of food production, which through innovation and technological impulse contributes to the development of country. On July 2, 1945, the Law in question (of leases) was sanctioned, the first beneficiaries were 78,000. That made possible the development of national agricultural production, giving rise to the National Agriculture Day.
In those years the agricultural cooperatives had a strong presence and since then they have been a pillar of the development of the countryside. That same year, the first tractor in the southern cone, called Pampa, was manufactured in the country, which put the country at the forefront of agricultural technology.
