This festivity is carried out according to the Catholic liturgical calendar. In the municipality of Acámbaro, a live representation of the Passion of Christ takes place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Festivity in honor of the Virgen del Refugio with numerous pilgrimages, who is the spiritual Patron Saint of the city since the middle of the XIX century.
