In the social environment, there is a wide universe of customs, uses, traditions, poetry, songs, sayings, tales, myths, legends, music, beliefs, superstitions and other expressions that are generically called popular wisdom.
Every August 22nd, the calendar reminds us of this special bond that all peoples have with the set of elements that make up their cultural identity, since that date was instituted as Folklore Day.
The popular wisdom of folkloric category meets certain clearly determined requirements, and is studied by Cultural Anthropology. In his process of socialization, the human being appropriates the experiences and experiences that others offer him in a certain moment of history, in a concrete situation. In the same way, in a collective way, what is given in a region, in a country, is transformed into knowledge and experience, shaping the identity of a people and marking its difference from others through its folklore.
