8 August - Wiesbaden Rheingau Wine Week
99 wine stands, Spanish specialties, a wide range of food, shows and live music on three stages: All this has been on offer since Friday at the Rheingau Wine Week in Wiesbaden.
The Rheingau Wine Week in Wiesbaden, colloquially known simply as the "Wine Festival", takes place every year from the second Friday in August for ten consecutive days on the Schlossplatz and the Dern'schen grounds, which are located behind the New Town Hall. The "longest wine bar in the world" is also the "largest wine festival in the world", measured by the 118 stands and over a thousand wines on offer from the Rheingau region. Riesling is the main wine served, with around 250,000 bottles sold each year.
The Rheingau Wine Week attracts over 400,000 guests every year.
