The people of Hesse love their apple wine, also known as Ebbelwoi, Stöffche or Äppler. Now lovers can look forward to the first cider festival, which has been taking place in Frankfurt am Main since 2011.
The cider festival in Frankfurt is just around the corner. From Friday onwards, everything at the Roßmarkt will revolve around Ebbelwoi. Frankfurt's liquid trademark is celebrated daily with live music. The festival runs until Sunday of the following week.
The tapping of the cider, the crowning of the cider queen and the rocking of the Possmann winery are the highlights of the festival at Frankfurt's Roßmarkt.
Visitors can enjoy Frankfurt's national drink in its classic form, pure, non-alcoholic, as a mixed drink, cocktail or sparkling wine until Sunday.
