The Neuruppiner Martinimarkt has a long tradition and has been taking place since 1655. This large fair attracts people from all over north-east Germany every yearFor ten days, Neuruppin's town center is transformed into "the biggest fair between the Baltic Sea and Berlin". It takes place around St. Martin's Day and offers a unique flair right in the heart of the Fontane town.
Duration and scope: The Martinimarkt lasts a whole 11 days and features over 100 fairground attractions. Around 315 m³ of wood chips, 25 km of power cables and around 400 transports for stores and caravans are needed for this event. More than 1,000,000 LED lights bathe the city center in festive illumination.
Attractions: There are a variety of rides at the Martini Market, including a Ferris wheel, bumper cars, break dance and baby flight. Shooting, games and craft stores are also represented. Visitors can indulge in culinary delights such as Hungarian langos, Polish kielbasa, French crepes and other treats.
