The Spring Folk Festival in Würzburg is one of the largest spring festivals in Bavaria and takes place annually on the Talavera fairground. It traditionally begins three weeks before Easter and lasts around two weeks.
This festival is known for its lively atmosphere and variety of attractions. With its long tradition, it attracts numerous visitors every year.
It is officially opened by the mayor tapping the beer. Visitors can look forward to numerous rides, including an impressive Ferris wheel and an exciting swing boat. Daily live music in the marquee provides entertainment, with performances by various bands and DJs.
At the halfway point of the festival, a large firework display delights visitors.
There are special family days on Wednesdays, when prices for rides and stalls are reduced.
The spring fair takes place on the market square in the city center at the same time as the folk festival.
