Armed Forces Day in Peru

September 24th is the Armed Forces Day and its members commemorate this date by fulfilling their mission in the different bases and units deployed throughout the national territory, safeguarding territorial integrity, security and national defense, but also performing tasks that go beyond their traditional roles.

The members of the Army, Navy and Air Force also celebrate their day performing tasks that contribute to national development, assisting populations affected by natural events, saving lives with their aeromedical evacuations and taking social programs and medical care to the most inaccessible communities of Amazon and Lake Titicaca.
