Ada Lovelace Day
Ada Lovelace Day is held on October 15. Was created to celebrate one of the first computer programmers. This event in the second decade of the month October is annual.

Lord Byron was her father. Her birth was shrouded in controversy. Fearing Lovelace would follow in her father's footsteps, Lady Byron immersed her in mathematics. At the age of 12, Lovelace conceptualized a flying machine. She was a hit amongst polite society.
Ada Lovelace is considered the first computer programmer. Even though she wrote about a computer, the Analytical Engine, that was never built, she realized that the computer could follow a series of simple instructions, a program, to perform a complex calculation.
