Perhaps, of course, sometimes he is a little irritable, grumpy or boring. But in any case, regardless of its merits or demerits, this day is dedicated to your spouse's dad, who certainly deserves some attention and recognition from you.
A good way to celebrate this day is to send a card to your beloved father-in-law, spend some time with him and/or treat him to something delicious. If the thought of this does not bring you much pleasure, at least be glad that today is not Mother-in-Law's Day.
