Celebrate International Frugal Fun Day and enjoy fun activities. The first Frugal Fun Day was invented in 1999 by Shel Horowitz. Horowitz is an avid American writer, international speaker, and marketing consultant. Born in New York City on December 24, 1956, Horowitz was raised in the Bronx, New York, where he graduated from Bronx High School of Science in 1973. He, founder of Going Beyond Sustainability, showing businesses how to profit by addressing hunger, poverty, racism, climate change, and war.
He has been an early and consistent popularizer of the idea that businesses can succeed by embracing principles of honesty, integrity, and environmental responsibility.
