This date honors professionals whose main responsibility is to ensure the safety and protection of other co-workers.
To this end, Occupational Safety Technicians make sure that all preventive measures are taken to avoid accidents, as well as try to ensure that workers' health is not affected by daily occupational activities. On November 27th, the Work Safety Engineer's Day is also celebrated.
This profession dates back to the first half of the 20th century, being developed at the time mainly by health professionals, until it was regularized in 1985.
The choice of this date recalls Law No. 7,410, of November 27, 1985, responsible for regulating the professions of Occupational Safety Technician and Occupational Safety Engineer.
