Chile celebrates two different dates: The Day of the Elderly is celebrated on October 1, in accordance with Supreme Decree No. 125 of 2004. And October 15th is the National Day of the Elderly Grandparents (Día Nacional del Anciano y del Abuelo), according to Decree No. 754 of the Ministry of the Interior of 1977.
