Founded in 1974 by Rainier III of Monaco, Stéphanie of Monaco has been its president since 2006.
Special prizes are also awarded by various societies, organizations, institutions and individuals. The awards, called Palmarès, are presented during a closing gala show attended by the Prince of Monaco and his family.
