Within the framework of the National Day for the Eradication of Sexual Violence against Children in El Salvador, which is commemorated every April 4, the Alliance for the Rights of Children, Adolescents and Youth of El Salvador, expresses its concern before the situation of sexual violence against children and adolescents:
In our country, girls and adolescents are absolutely defenseless and unprotected. Their rights to life, health, sexual and reproductive health, personal integrity, reproductive autonomy, information, comprehensive education, non-discrimination and comprehensive protection of children, among others, have been violated; which translates into a scenario of systematic violation, especially considering the serious and irreparable effects that acts of sexual violence and forced pregnancies have on girls and adolescents.
