Beatles Day celebrates the triumphant return of British rock band The Beatles from their American tour to Liverpool on July 10, 1964, just in time for the premiere of their film A Hard Day's Night. This day is considered one of the landmarks in their rise to fame, and since 2008, its anniversary has been celebrated as Beatles Day in Liverpool and Hamburg, the cities where the band laid the foundations for their stardom. Others chose to celebrate "Beatles Day" on February 27 in the United States to celebrate the beauty and peace of the fab foursome's music at the time of the new spring season.
It was rumored that UNESCO had declared January 16 as World Day The Beatles, which was denied hours later. However, fans of their work still celebrate this day. June 25 is also Global Day of The Beatles.
