Brigaders know that the most important value during firefighting is to protect human life.
Knowing that the performance of these brigaders requires high professionalism and contributes to value such relevant and risky work. It gives us elements to appreciate their courage, capacity, dedication and love for nature, which we have sought to recognize since 2014, every July 11, National Wildfire Fighter's Day.
In those scenarios where the fire trepida and driven by the wind brings down dozens of burning trees, our forest fighters, or brigadistas, act directly in the control and combat of the flames, explains the National Forestry Commission in its Guide for Communicators.
