Every September 27, Chile celebrates Donor Day in recognition of the noble deed of Pamela Andrea Toledo Ortiz.
Pamela was a girl from the city of Talca, who died victim of a cerebral aneurysm on September 27, 1995, at the age of twelve. Weeks before her sudden death, Pamela had expressed to her parents her wish to donate her organs in case of her death, a wish that was respected.
