On November 18, 1842, President José Ballivian created the Department of Beni and celebrated its creation commemorating the triumph of the Battle of Ingavi a year earlier. Its creation was given to promote its population and the interconnection between the west and the Bolivian Amazon.
The Chamber of Senators pays a just and well-deserved tribute to the department of Beni, in commemoration of its creation, to be celebrated on November 18 of this year, for its important economic, cultural and touristic contribution, for its environmental conservation and for the protection of the indigenous territories that undoubtedly contribute to the development of the Plurinational State of Bolivia.
It has a great cultural heritage through its food and indigenous traditions of great manifestation. It is one of the largest departments in surface, with a humid and warm tropical climate, is characterized by its natural wealth, its mighty rivers and lagoons where you can be in contact with river dolphins, tropical fish variable, alligators, the sicuri and birds like herons and kingfishers.
