World Men's Day in Germany is a day of action for men's health that has been held annually on November 3 since 2000. In many countries, this holiday is celebrated on the first Saturday in November.
The first World Men's Day was launched in 2000 by andrologists at the University of Vienna. This was then officially organized together with the City of Vienna, the Gorbachev Foundation, Medical Connection and the United Nations Office in Vienna (UNOV). Today, the focus is on timely health care and a realistic assessment of one's own health and risks.
It should not be confused with International Men's Day, which takes place on November 19th each year. International Men's Day is celebrated annually on November 19 and was introduced in Trinidad and Tobago in 1999. The day and its events are supported by various individuals and groups in Australia, the Caribbean, North America, Asia, Europe, Africa and the United Nations.
