Hagen Biodiversity Day

Great activities and a colorful program attract young and still-young explorers to the Biological Station at the Hagen Environmental Center. This event is organized by the Biological Station Umweltzentrum Hagen e.V. and offers information, lectures, excursions and other activities relating to biodiversity.

Visit the historic Haus Busch park at the Biological Station, where you can experience various habitats and measures to protect species groups up close. Younger visitors in particular will have the opportunity to actively participate, observe and explore at the stands of the participating associations. There you will also find information material and nature conservation products. You can purchase insect hotels, nesting aids for small birds, bat boxes, wildflower seeds, old varieties of fruit trees and building materials for insect hotels from the exhibitors. You can also order fruit trees and bird protection shrubs for planting in the fall. Most of the food will be regional products such as home-baked cakes, Hagen apple juice and barbecued food from farms in the region, provided by the Boele scouts.
