The Tilburgse Kermis is the largest and most sociable funfair in the Benelux! It takes place every year in Tilburg and offers hundreds of attractions, including new rides and nostalgic fairgrounds. The funfair covers several streets and squares in the city center, including the Heuvelring, Paleisring and Piusplein.
It originally began in the 15th century as a kind of market where traders sold their wares. Over time, the event developed into a funfair with rides, games and entertainment.
Famous Dutch singers perform daily in the Amstel Bierhal, and there is a free funfair exhibition, a TV and radio studio of Kermis FM, events and stage performances in the restaurants, a special funfair day for people with disabilities, Blauwe Zondag (Blue Sunday) and Roze Maandag (Pink Monday). The funfair lasts ten days and offers a lot of fun and entertainment!
