It is a Polish holiday adopted by the Sejm of the Republic of Poland on November 23, 2012. The Parliamentary Health Committee prepared a draft resolution in response to a written request from the Ewa Błaszczyk “Akogo?” Foundation, acting for children in need of rehabilitation after severe neurological injuries and their families.
The aim of the celebration is to draw attention to the situation of such patients and to understand their problems. The Sejm emphasized in the Resolution that those persons who were unable to strive for respect for their rights "should be cared for by the Republic of Poland with special care".
