Help us

Started in 2007 by Carolyn Johnson, who was a reporter for The Boston Globe at the time, International Sweater Vestival is an "annual celebration of solidarity, superiority, and sartorial splendor that is expressed through the collective wearing of sweater vests." Today's holiday is meant to help everyone lighten up a bit. Whoever came up with the name for the International Sweater Vestival was very punny and clever. International Sweater Vestivall is held on the second Friday after Thanksgiving.
Perfect for this time of the year, this holiday encourages us proudly wear our most festive sweater vest for the day. Also, people with extra sweater vests are encouraged to bring them to the workplace to share with a less fortunate co-worker who doesn't have the privilege of owning one.
